The bushing is molded with neither “Soft” nor “hard” Vulcanized Rubber and is in midrange of flexibility and hardness properties,  with the Silicon Bronze bearing spacers helping to accommodate the necessary axial and rotating motion of the control arms during body roll and suspension movement. The  midrange flexibility of the rubber bushing does  provide more control in the forward and aft support, eliminating wheel hop, reducing spindle deflection, and improves straight line grip which reduces the cause of wheel hop during hard acceleration and braking.
